Reflective multi-ply thermal insulation

Thermo Reflex is a reflective multi-ply thermal insulation material suitable for application on roofs, lofts, walls and floors. It’s the only type of thermal insulation that offers thermal performance levels measured at the installation site, differently from other insulations, for which performance levels are measured at the lab.

Heat transmission

In physics, heat is a form of energy that moves between two bodies, or two parts of the same body, that are in different thermal conditions. Heat is transiting energy that always flows from the higher temperature to the lower temperature point, until thermal balance is achieved.
Heat transmission can occur in three different ways:

Conduction

Direct molecular contact, from the areas with the highest temperature to those with the lowest temperature. A typical example is the transmission of heat along an iron bar in contact on one end with a heat source: the whole bar will soon become hot due to transmission by conduction.

Convection

This process occurs in liquid or gaseous environments, in order to bring two systems initially at different temperatures to a balanced condition. An example is the hot air produced by fan heaters, which travels to the top, causing the cooler air to move lower in the room.

Radiation

Heat transmission without direct contact, through electromagnetic waves produced by a body based on its temperature and emission capability, mainly from the body with the highest temperature, to the body with the lower temperature. An example of this is when we are near a fire: although there is no direct contact, we can still feel the heat.

Thermo Reflex working principle

During the year, most of the heat transmission from (winter) and to (summer) a building is through radiation. Thanks to its multi-ply structure and the composition of its metallic polyester, polyethylene and synthetic batting sheets, Thermo Reflex is capable of almost completely stopping these transfers by radiation through the heat wave reflection principle, therefore significantly increasing the level of comfort inside all the rooms of the building.

SOUND INSULATION SYSTEM COMPLETION

A multi-ply material
Its multi-ply structure and the polyester, polyethylene and synthetic batting sheets can stop not only heat dispersion, but also sound waves, providing great sound insulation.

THERMO REFLEX – XL 50

Multi-ply thermal insulation consisting of 13 elements. Used for the insulation of roofs from the outside, non-habitable or recovered floors, this solution is also suitable for the insulation of walls from the inside or the outside.

THERMO REFLEX – XL 70

Multi-ply insulation consisting of 17 elements, suitable for several applications: its high resistance makes it possible to insulate roofs from the outside, but also to insulate the floor (converted or disposable) and the walls from the inside or the outside.

Semi-thick and multi-ply reflecting insulation with linen wool, cotton and an internal built-in breathable screen. External roof insulation solution.

THERMO REFLEX – AIR FLEX

Airflex is a rigid insulation with high compression strength.
This 5-element multi-ply insulation is fire resistant and belongs to Euroclass B, s1-d0.
